Najeem M Illyas leads the technology vision, AI initiatives, and product development at Towncraft Technologies Pvt Ltd. He brings more than 24 years of experience in software architecture, automation, and technology development, including roles with Cognizant, Akamai, Johnson & Johnson, Philips, CNBC, and Celcom.
At Towncraft Technologies, he guides the development of AI applications and research projects using large language models (LLMs), deep learning, machine learning, statistical models, predictive analytics, and recommendation systems.
His areas of interest also include agentic AI, multi-agent systems, natural language processing, computer vision, and AI-assisted decision-making. His work focuses on applying these technologies to practical challenges in agriculture, research, business operations, and digital products.
Najeem holds an M.Tech in Software Engineering from BITS Pilani and is pursuing doctoral research in Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Computing, Bengaluru. He also mentors engineers and researchers, encouraging careful experimentation, sound system design, and solutions that work beyond the prototype stage.
Alongside his work at Towncraft Technologies, Najeem is researching and developing several platforms: ATRBot, an algorithmic trading platform; a professional media platform; a research support platform; an HR services platform; and Rupee Voice, a news analysis platform. These initiatives reflect his interest in using AI and software to make specialised services more accessible and useful.
Najeem is a published author, public speaker, and business mentor. He has also established Bangalore Agrico, an agricultural and sustainable business under Towncraft Agrico Pvt Ltd. Bangalore Agrico is positioned as India’s leading premium fruit plant marketplace.
